No. Mental Health First Aiders don't diagnose or treat anyone. Like physical first aid, it's about helping in the moment and getting the person to the right professional support.

No. NSW WHS law requires employers to eliminate or minimise psychosocial risks, such as high job demands, low support and exposure to traumatic events, starting with how work is designed. Mental Health First Aid isn't required, but trained Mental Health First Aiders are a practical supporting measure that helps people spot problems early and get support.
Workplace training is $4,950 + GST for up to 15 people, with extra participants at $295 each up to 20. Sporting clubs, community groups and not-for-profits pay $3,300 + GST for up to 15. Travel is included anywhere in Greater Sydney. Outside Sydney, travel and accommodation are charged at cost.
