Where do you run it?
At your workplace, clubhouse or a venue you choose. Anywhere in Greater Sydney is included, and I travel to regional NSW and interstate with travel charged at cost. I'm based in Collaroy on the Northern Beaches.
How much does Mental Health First Aid training cost?
Workplace training is $4,950 + GST for up to 15 people, with extra participants at $295 each up to 20. Sporting clubs, community groups and not-for-profits pay $3,300 + GST for up to 15. Travel is included anywhere in Greater Sydney. Outside Sydney, travel and accommodation are charged at cost.
Is the training accredited?
Yes. I'm a licensed Mental Health First Aid Australia instructor delivering the Standard MHFA course. Participants who complete the course and the assessment become Accredited Mental Health First Aiders for three years.
How many people should we train?
Enough that anyone can easily reach a trained person, across shifts, sites and teams. For most small and medium businesses and clubs, a group of 10 to 15 is a strong start.
